This is a modern wooden and glass mantel clock. This stylish and modern mantel clock has a beautiful white clockface that seemingly hangs in mid-air within the glass pane. The clock has a roman numeral dial and modern spade clock hands, all sitting within a wooden casing.

With the same sound-activated clock system as our other click clocks, the clock display automatically disappears when it’s quiet but still moves perfectly accurately every second. It lights up again when you give a gentle touch, a cheerful clap, or a magical click of your fingers. This tabletop clock only tells you the time (12 or 24-hour format) instead of alternating between date and temperature. However, this simplified display function has made it super easy to set up. To set the time and alarm, simply touch the fine laser engraved buttons. When the alarm goes off, gently ‘stroke’ any of these engraved buttons on the top to snooze and to turn off the alarm, you can easily flip it over and the numbers will be magically corrected to a normal display as well, keeping the same time and moving as accurate as before.

I purchased this mantel clock to replace the Astoria Grand that I recently got here at Wayfair. The Astoria clock face is bright and has gold numbers making it hard to tell the time from just 10 feet away. This Howard Miller has a darker clock face with black Roman numerals and I can tell the time from the kitchen which is nearly 30 feet away. This clock is bigger and is also made of wood (thin) and it should because it's four times the price of the Astoria. Both clocks keep time accurately. Where the Howard Miller clock comes up weak is the chimes. They sound anemic compared to the Astoria. I decided to keep both clocks and placed the Astoria Grand in the sports bar room.. Albert. Hampton Mantel Clock finished in Windsor casual on select hardwoods and veneers. Highlighted with book matched moulding that frames the dial and offers scrolls on the sides. The aged dial offers Roman numerals. A beaded moulding accents the front and sides. Quartz, battery-operated, dual-chime Kieninger movement plays full Westminster or Ave Maria chimes with strike on the hour, with optional 1 chime feature which plays 0.25, 0.5 and 0.75 chimes accordingly. Volume control, automatic night-time volume reduction option and automatic night-time chime shut-off option.
