The clock is bigger than I expected but is good to look at on the mantle piece. It tells the correct time too which is an improvement on the similar antique one I had to replace as it gave up the ghost. This is a lovely clock and just what I was looking for. I had a large grandfather clock I loved for more than 40 years. I downsized recently, and it was just too large and too loud for the small space. This little clock is perfect.
