Coastal George Oliver Wall Art

I bought this graphic print with two others to go in my newly painted conservatory. It looks fantastic against the blue wall and matches my oak door and furniture. It gives a contemporary feel to the room and would look equally as good with the black frame. Amongst all the gloom during this Coronavirus pandemic this print reminds me of happier times by the sea. The print came very well packaged and on time, thank you Wayfair.. Jules H. Sheffield, GB. Wed Jun 03 2020

This print is simplistic yet stunning against a recently painted blue wall. I've also got two other seaside graphic prints (Barmouth and Scarborough) and they compliment each other perfectly. I love the nostalgic vibe of this print, as it's in the style of an old tourism poster. Delivery service excellent as always.. Jules H. Sheffield, GB. Wed Jun 03 2020

Great art deserves to be on canvas! Unlike thin posters and paper prints, Giclée canvas artwork offers the texture, look and feel of fine-art paintings. This artwork is crafted in the United Kingdom with artist-grade canvas, professionally hand-stretched, and stapled over North American pine-wood bars in Gallery Wrap style, a method utilized by artists to present artwork in galleries. Fade-resistant archival inks guarantee perfect colour reproduction that remains vibrant for decades even when exposed to strong light. Add brilliance in colour and exceptional detail to your space with this contemporary and uncompromising style!

Tucked off the Northumberland coast, Holy Island - known to many as Lindisfarne - is a place where sea, stone and story meet. This travel poster celebrates that rare combination of history and solitude: the narrow tidal causeway that appears and disappears with the tides, the ruined priory that still feels sacred, and the castle perched above the grey-blue sea like a guardian of the shore. The island's past is woven into the landscape. In the seventh century Lindisfarne was a centre of learning and devotion; the illuminated manuscripts and early Christian foundations left echoes that remain in the ruined arches and low stone walls. Later, the island's isolation made it a flashpoint in the age of Vikings and a refuge for those seeking solace from the mainland. Today, the same quiet that once sheltered monks now draws walkers, birdwatchers and anyone who wants to feel how slow time can be when the tide calls you across the causeway. This poster aims to capture that feeling - the hush of low tide, the click of boots on stone, the long light of a Northumbrian sunset. The composition leads the eye along the curving causeway, a ribbon that connects two worlds. In the distance the priory's arches and the fortress silhouette sit on the hill, softened by the golden haze of evening. Nearby, the sea spreads wide and shallow, reflecting warm apricots and cool teal blues, while pockets of saltmarsh and puckered grass speak of wild, brackish life. The art style embraces a modern-retro travel aesthetic: pared-back forms, confident lines and layered planes of colour that hint at texture without fuss. Colour choices are deliberate - warm sandy ochres and soft peach for the sunlit stone, deep slate and teal for tidal water, and muted greens for salt-splashed grass. Together these tones create a calm, nostalgic mood that reads well from a distance and rewards closer inspection.

Perched on a jagged basalt outcrop where green cliffs meet the Atlantic, Dunluce Castle has long been a symbol of romance, danger and history on Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast. This travel poster celebrates that wild beauty: the ruined towers and battlements silhouetted against endless sky, the restless sea below, and the impression of a place that has watched centuries pass. Dunluce's stones whisper of clan rivalries, seafaring trade and quiet domestic life. Once the stronghold of the MacQuillans and later the MacDonnells, the castle's story is carved into the cliff itself. Fragments of medieval architecture remain - arched windows, fragmentary walls and a dramatic gatehouse - each element a reminder of lives lived against the elements. Local legend and the occasional record of dramatic collapse add to its mythic appeal, and every visit feels like stepping into a novel where wind and tide set the pace. The surrounding landscape is as much a character as the castle: sheer cliffs, weather-weathered rock faces and small coves where waves curl and break. This stretch of Northern Ireland offers a unique blend of rugged geology and gentle cultural presence - fishing villages, quiet lane ways, and the warm, unhurried hospitality of nearby towns. The Giant's Causeway and the famed old distillery at Bushmills lie within easy reach, so a poster of Dunluce suggests not only one stunning ruin but a coastline full of stories to follow. Rendered in a vintage travel-poster aesthetic, the illustration pares the scene back to bold shapes and layered planes of colour. The palette is warm ochre for sunlit stone, deep greens for the cliff-tops, and a range of Atlantic blues that travel from teal to navy. Soft, creamy skies provide contrast and lift, while restrained highlights hint at sparkling water and sun on rock.
