Was a last minute retirement gift for someone - looked really nice so gave them the gift. Reported an issue that the temperature dial did not work - which wayfair provided a refund for. This is a lovely clock and just what I was looking for. I had a large grandfather clock I loved for more than 40 years. I downsized recently, and it was just too large and too loud for the small space. This little clock is perfect. The chimes are light, the volume is adjustable so it's just right for my space, and I like that they turn off automatically at night. I looked at lots of clocks before choosing this one, and very happy with it. It's an excellent value, and the wood housing is fine quality.. Carol. Pfafftown, NC. Fri Jan 28 2022

The elegant dial is brushed brass tone with a silver, diamond-cut numeral ring and features a glass crystal, a polished gold tone, waterfall style bezel, and black Roman numerals.

The item description is misleading and inaccurate. I was drawn to this clock as the case was made of rosewood. It was, however, on close inspection so heavily coated in the finish of ‘Rosewood Hall’ as to lose sight of any solid wood being present. There is no way a customer could see this without physically viewing the product. So it is very disappointing to have to pay £9.15 postage (£4.16 to receive, £4.99 to return) just to inspect the product, only to find the clock case was a high gloss manufactured wood. Where the solid wood is located is a mystery. Waste of time and money.. Anonymous. Mon Mar 31 2025

What more could anyone ask of a statement accessory? Its soft shape lends this traditional table clock a smooth and sophisticated appearance. The undulating arch is simply classic, while the high-gloss Rosewood Hall finish is immediately eye-catching. The polished brass-tone base and bezel contrast beautifully with the rich wood, while the gold-tone dial is etched with black Roman numerals, black hour and minute hands, and brass second and alarm hands. A protective glass crystal shields the dial and finishes the wood table clock to perfection.

I purchased this mantel clock to replace the Astoria Grand that I recently got here at Wayfair. The Astoria clock face is bright and has gold numbers making it hard to tell the time from just 10 feet away. This Howard Miller has a darker clock face with black Roman numerals and I can tell the time from the kitchen which is nearly 30 feet away. This clock is bigger and is also made of wood (thin) and it should because it's four times the price of the Astoria. Both clocks keep time accurately. Where the Howard Miller clock comes up weak is the chimes. They sound anemic compared to the Astoria. I decided to keep both clocks and placed the Astoria Grand in the sports bar room.. Albert. Monticello, KY. Tue Aug 25 2020
