The traditional regulator is walnut with decorative glass and mechanical movement.
I purchased this clock to replace a similar one which belonged to my mother and it was about 100 year old but the main spring went. I am happy to say that this clock functions perfectly, in a similar manner to the old one, and was very easy to calibrate against the radio controlled one I have. The only criticism I have is that the striking coil is not as mellow as my mother's clock. It's more strident(treble as opposed to bass).. Gavin. Fife. Wed Feb 04 2026
