• Fitting instructions: The stone top is held in place by putting a bead of silicone around the top of the oak vanity unit and then sitting the marble in place. Regarding fitting the basin to the unit, unscrew the locking nut off the plug and remove the large rubber seal leaving just the small seal in place. Push the plug through the basin and put the large washer on the plug on the underside of the basin then fit the locking nut to the underside of the basin. A small amount of silicon sealer is usually used on the large rubber washer underneath so that when the locking nut is tightened the plug is pulled tight inside the basin and the large rubber seal is tight on the underside of the basin creating a double seal. The hole for the tap is also pre-drilled in the stone top, there is a metal plate and two screws with locking nuts. The plate goes inside the cupboard on the underside of the stone with the two screws through the holes in the plate and these screws in the holes located on the base of the tap. Once the screws are fixed inside the tap the nuts underneath can be tightened locking everything in place. Two Flexi hoses are provided for the hot and cold feed. Please remember to seal any natural stone with a sealer purchased at any tile or DIY store this will protect it from any stains. For stone sealer, we use an LTP stone sealer and colour intensifier, however, any good quality sealer will do just as well.
