Buckle up for the ride if your fitting this shower screen.its a lovely item and classy but oh my word it was a b to fit As you can see from the photo I cant swing the screen out away from the bath .something it failed to mention on the blurb .this being the case the hinges had to be back to front with the chrome facing inside and the screws on the front.theres enough room to reach round and switch the bath taps on and put the plug in .in my hubby's words he will go out in his box before he takes it down

1st unit arrived smashed to pieces as the internal packing isnt the best. 2nd one arrived the next day. Great customer service from Wayfair. They get 5*. The item itself is not great. Glass is 5mm, CE marked but theres no EN or safety mark so its strength is questionable. It will do the the job but not something I dont expect to last. The frame for the fixed section is very poor and allows that section to flex extensively once mounted. There is no fixing for the top or bottom of the fixed section to prevent it moving when the hinged parts are moved and it relies on whatever silicone or sealant you use to stop it moving. I made up a small bracket by cutting 10mm from the wall frame and mounting that on the bath itself to add some stability and its much better. If you dont use some kind of additional support any sealing you put on the bottom of the fixed section will fail as soon as you move the hinged parts. The magnetic seal on the main glass is OK but you need to modify it so it seats fully around the hinges by cutting a 3-4mm notch out. Same goes for the folding seal on the small glass end. Both seals will leak at the bottom as there is no overlap on the bottom seal used on the moving sections. With a bit of tweaking and some modification of the seals and brackets, this is a useable screen. If you want something to work out the box then this isnt it. If you are not up for a bit of DIY improvisation to make it usable then look elsewhere.
