This fire is lovely very mesmerising and is an asset to any front room. But alas the surrounding mantle is not high quality it is unfortunately rough/ unfinished on top not smooth - I don’t even think it has a protective layer on top to prevent scuffing so you may need buy a glass top protector. Delivery was a nightmare late and delivered upside down .
