Flexible fixing works well to enable you to choose the best fixing for the surface on which the item is being fixed - conventional screw fixing or glue using the product supplied. We screwed the item in place so cannot comment on the efficiency of using the glue. We purchased multiple towel rings so all our bathrooms matched and were able to mount with the open end left or right handed to suit the space available for fixing. I have been looking for a while for a towel ring which looks nice but not too twee and I'm delighted with this. I've only given it four stars as the ring is slightly off centre.
