I would have given 5 stars but we did have to wait from ordering on 31st October until delivery on 17th November with no information other than ‘item is delayed’ I telephoned at the end of last week and that seemed to speed up the process. Also there is a scratch on the glass front of the fire, not noticeable unless you get up close. However, I assume the good discount was because the item isn’t perfect and I would have preferred to be told and be given the option to purchase a fire in perfect condition. The actual fire is wonderful with very realistic flames. However although we measured the fireplace inset hole many times, when the fir arrived it would not fit in the inset. The measurements given for the back of the fire (the part to set into the surround) did not take account for the extra centimetre or so from bottom of inset to base of fire.
