The porcelain door knob is beautifully made and finished, part of the Spira Brass range. The porcelain range represents the highest quality available in both construction and finish. The subtle antique finish is offset by the ivory crackle porcelain. This is an unsprung door knob, and therefore we recommend that it is fitted with a double-sprung tubular latch. As with all doorknobs, we recommend this doorknob is used with a longer tubular latch, ideally with a minimum length of 104mm (82mm backset) to avoid scraped knuckles on the door frame.

Good purchase, pleased with overall finish. Kim. Sudbury, GB. Sun Oct 30 2022

Absolutely beautiful, heavy and solid handles. The addition of quality hinges and latch was a wonderful addition that transformed my tired ugly doors. I would have given 5 stars if only the latch was a few centimetres longer, as it is, you rap your knuckles when opening on the one side so have to be very careful opening the door. That said they really are heavy beautiful handles that should last a few decades. Claire. Thu Oct 05 2023
