But alas the surrounding mantle is not high quality it is unfortunately rough/ unfinished on top not smooth - I don’t even think it has a protective layer on top to prevent scuffing so you may need buy a glass top protector. Stunning fire. Really happy with it. So cozy with real looking flames. Only criticism is you get very few of the firebed options. Will probably end up buying more "sticks" & "white pebbles" for better effect but still lovely to have the choice.
