This solid and well-made folding table easel is a great easel for kids and professional artists alike.When you open the box, the wonderful aroma of real wood wafts out and you can tell its a quality product before you even get to the very practical design. Unlike some other table easels,it has a box base which gives it great stability. The easel section is held flat by a simple brass latch, and you then raise the easel up to the desired angle and secure it with the two adjustable knobs, one on either side. There are no pre-set notches so you can set the working area to virtually any angle, including bolt upright (ideal for pastels). You can adjust the holders on the working area to secure a canvas of any size up to about A2, the lower holder drops down below the rest of the easel which makes it very versatile and again helps with stability. You can use it to just rest a sketchpad on at smaller size.The base of the working area consists of a ridged wooden ledge about 2" deep, which should be enough for most canvasses.
