Disappointed with finish as appears to be quite artisan and lacking finesse

As almost always with Wayfair, what you see (& read online) is what you get. In this case, a superb, faux terra cotta planter. Lightweight, but robust and frostproof, with a tasteful oak motif, it not only looks good, but should make a useful, eye-catching compliment to any garden, or patio. Certainly not cheap by any reckoning, but still offering fair value. Oddly, it does not come with pre-drilled drainage holes, but a few seconds drilling + a sprinkling of dust - job done! All planted out within a couple of hours of receipt and looking just great.
