Bought for after my hip surgery ,I agree with what other people have said ,its sound like its grinding and the foot rest splits in the middle of the padding so you feel like you are resting your feet on the wood also I've found that when you put it into the raising of the chair it tilts to the side.

For the price, this was a very good purchase. The chair is comfortable and looks nice - not too 'obviously' a chair for an old person! I don't think I'll use the massage facility - it sounds rather too much like an angle-grinder to make me feel like relaxing... My only two niggles are: 1) it's hard to move around as there are no casters 2) the remote control is quite confusing - it's too simple and I can't work out immediately which button does what and which arrow does what (the more expensive recliner that I have, inherited from my dad, makes it clear which button operates the riser and which the recliner, and which way each goes). But all in all, for the price I paid it's good.

Super easy to assemble and now I have one very happy dad! He can get in and out of his chair with ease once again.
