It works great but the cooling setting is loud. Probably best used to cool the room for later. The exhaust hose gets warm too. The instructions could be better explained on how to fit the hose and drainage pipe, hence the 4 stars. Oh and it's really heavy

Tested out the unit today. As it comes with the window kit for sliding windows, that part is surplus. Not sure many have these windows in UK. I cut some cardboard to fit window and covered with reflective plastic and then cut hole to accommodate the hose. I used velcro to attach to window frame. Works well. Reduced my lounge room temperature from 28c to 24c in approx hour. My elderly greyhound has been struggling and sleeping soundly now.The only downside is the hose is short and very rigid but made it work. Already ordered another for bedroom.

Works great, cools the room down really quickly and isn’t too noisy at all.

The air conditioning system clearly doesn't work. Left for 48 hrs before turning on and after letting the system run for a few hours the room it is in is warmer than the adjacent room. Had several colleagues check to see if I was doing anything wrong. Bottom of unit gets hot to the point that the safety sticker is starting to melt off, indicative of a system that has a leak so the pump struggles. Machine is very noisy, far more than expected. A colleague thinks that the pump is struggling as there's no refrigerant in the system. Have used exhaust etc as per the instructions. Engineer by trade so know that it's not user error. Defective to the point of dangerous!
