It has the look of concrete without weighing as much as a concrete fireplace would! We get so many compliments on our fireplace. The only reason that I gave this 4 stars is because it will rust rather quickly, but it’s nothing that high heat paint can’t fix

Absolutely love, love, love this fire pit! I had read some of the other reviews and was worried that it would come damaged or chipped in some way. It arrived in perfect condition. They even sent a small bottle with paint, to use in case of future chips. It is the perfect size to have in our Florida backyard, with four Adirondack chairs surrounding it. It is true that you would have to cut typical firewood in half. The first time we used it, as inexperienced fire pit owners, we were not aware of that. The second time, we used 3 half-cut pieces of wood with some kindling and it worked very well. Those burned for about an hour. More than enough time to roast some hotdogs and make s’mores! Clean up is easy as well. We take the innards out of the fire pit and store them in the garage so that they don’t rust. We bought a circular wood panel locally which we will treat and stain to use as a table top for when we are not using it as a fire pit. I highly recommend this item.

Awful! Had it for less than a month and completely rusted out. Very cheap quality for expensive price.
