The Holt is an attractive and well made British shed featuring high grade 12mm shiplap tongue and groove cladding and strong 34mm sqauare framing. There are two opening glass windows for added light and ventilation. Faux shutters are also supplied. The double door is fitted with a rim lock and wooden knob. The floor is 12mm matching T&G whilst the roof is solid sheet OSB boards, roof felt is also supplied for the exterior. The Emneth is a very popular choice with it's contemporary good looks and unobtrusive pent roof. A robust log cabin, it has lockable, fully glazed double doors and three matching, joinery quality, opening windows, all with acrylic as standard. The window can go either end and be side or top hung. The interlocking timbers that make up the walls of the building are 19mm thick, some 50% thicker than a normal garden building. The cabin comes with a 12 mm tongue and groove roof and floor with pressure treated bearers. The building is supplied untreated ready for you to paint or stain immediately after assembly, this should be a good quality wood paint or stain. Where dimensions are critical please check internal (floor) sizes as building dimensions are to the external edge of the individual boards that make up the cabin and will include the crossover of the logs. Internal eaves height is over 6'3 (1917 mm) for a really spacious interior. Please note that log cabins are supplied as individual log boards that are assembled length by length, building up from the floor; not pre-made panels. The building is manufactured here in the UK and all of the wood used is high grade, FSC approved Northern European Pine. Assembly instructions and roof felt are included. The walls of this store are made using horizontal boards that overlap each other, this traditional method of construction creates a solid panel that encourages rain water to run off the building, protecting your stored possessions from the elements. Solid sheet board is used to form the floor and roof, a durable material that is made up of several layers of tightly compacted oriented strands. Solid sheet board is perfect for everyday use and general storage. This building is complete with thick wooden internal framing to support the overlap panelling, creating a rigid, long lasting structure. The traditional apex roofline provides generous head height for storing taller items and storage units. Delivery was fine, the driver phoned 25 mins before he arrived. it is a kerbside drop, it is written in the paperwork that they wont move the shed to the back garden or a place of your choosing so be prepared to lug it yourself. As provided I would rate this shed as 1/5 but with an amount of work 4/5 A good concrete or slabbed base is essential. Allow about £250 for what you also need if you want a good shed. The shed is best painted before assembly, I bought 2 nine litre tubs of Cuprinol Ducksback wood care. I used about 75% of what I bought. The floor will not take any type if weight and is not fit for purpose so I bought 7 1220mm x 2440mm x 18mm OSB3 boards to cover the floor pre assembly. The ends of the side and end panels will all need trimming to obtain any chance of a good fit. You will also need to measure the width of the side panels as the middle roof panels will need trimming to the same length as they need to match on assembly. The roof will support no weight of anybody climbing on it to screw the roof down or attach roof felt. You need to put all the screws you can to pin the roof down then where you can't reach add brackets between the roof and cross members inside the shed. The roof felt will need to be attached across the roof not down the roof as in the plans. Lay the felt over the roof after cutting to size and I suggest pushing over the top with a rake then use Thompson's high performance roof seal 2.5 litre black from screwfix to seal the different felt strips together and the felt tacks for along the guttering. I used a telescopic extendable window cleaner that will hold a brush to cover the seams with the sealer. I also added weather strip to the doors and modified them for my own needs.
