I bought this item for my home office and was not disappointed. It is roomy and can store big files. Shelves are sturdy and you can load heavy books on them. But you need to ask someone professional to assemble this cabinet as if you never did it before you would not manage to assemble it properly even with the scheme. I was so looking forward to having this unit in my studio....I have now fallen out of love with it. The sturdy hutch features one mid-fixed shelf and two adjustable shelves with nine height settings. These two pieces can easily be connected. Made from furniture quality MFC which is resistant to hot cups and scratches. The top features an overhang to the rear for clearance of plugs etc. All panels are thick, including the important back panel which ensures added strength and rigidity.
