This is a very thick and heavy high/low motif rug. It is very striking. I bought a small version of this rug, and the photo showed the design at full size on a large rug. You still get the full size design, but on a small rug, so the elements look rather oversized. It took some adjusting to get used to it. It is shedding a lot, which fills the vacuum cleaner, but probably because of how new and thick it is. It can certainly afford to lose some fibres. It is very dense. I like the charcoal background. You get what you pay for. Rug is rolled up pretty tight when delivered, and it’s very thin, so the bumps are taking a while to flatten out. I had it upside down and put heavy pots on it to get the major curl at the edge of the rug out, and that seemed to help. But it didn’t work on all of the bumps. I’m hoping over time they settle. Also, the edges aren’t a straight line. However, this is all fine for me, as I put it in my high-traffic kitchen over a very thick, high-quality rug pad, for comfort. I replace the rug every 2-3 years, as they get stained and gross. So I chose inexpensive rugs, and expect them to be worth what I pay for. You get what you pay for. Rug is rolled up pretty tight when delivered, and it’s very thin, so the bumps are taking a while to flatten out. I had it upside down and put heavy pots on it to get the major curl at the edge of the rug out, and that seemed to help. But it didn’t work on all of the bumps. I’m hoping over time they settle. Also, the edges aren’t a straight line. However, this is all fine for me, as I put it in my high-traffic kitchen over a very thick, high-quality rug pad, for comfort. I replace the rug every 2-3 years, as they get stained and gross. So I chose inexpensive rugs, and expect them to be worth what I pay for. this is the most beautiful rug i’ve ever seen and i hope it’s still being made when i move out and have a beautiful house so i can buy a bigger version and have it in my living room, it’s so beautiful i cannot reiterate enough and it’s a nice thickness and comfy my cat cannot get enough also.
