It should stop the dog from getting to places where ge is not meant to be! However some aspects of the build quality are not well made. Great item, I wanted something that I could easily transport and change between rooms, my little puppy settled from night one in there and it seemed really cosy for her with the covered roof section over her bed. The removable base is great for cleaning if there’s ever any little accidents that miss the puppy pad.
