This garden side awning, featuring a large screen, presents an effective way to deal with a constant wind and low-lying sun, while providing privacy. The simple yet stylish design makes it an ideal complement for your garden, patio, balcony, etc. The privacy screen has an automatic roll-back function and the width is adjustable to up to 1000 cm. The outdoor screen is made of UV-proof, tear-resistant and water-resistant polyester fabric with a PU coating.

This could be so much better with some additional improvements. First of all, the two end fabric poles would not attach as the connector piece does not allow for the rivets on the handles. This essentially stops you proceeding, unless you are willing to 'adapt'. Secondly, the tension on one of the main retractable poles was insufficient. So that resulted in disassembly and retensioning. Thirdly, the base plate fixings are not fit for purpose. Not only is there no information on the sizing, but they do not work well with the holes in the baseplate. I would suggest to buy through bolts from a local DIY shop. I would also ignore the piece in the instructions where you fix the baseplate to the assembly first and then drill holes. Instead, use the plate as a template, then drill, then fix with your (new and safer) fixings. Happy with the overall quality, but a few things have let this product down.. Anonymous. Mon Jul 10 2023

Katastrophe!! Mila. Mülheim An Der Ruhr, DE. SUNMER Aluminium Side Awning Retractable Full Cassette Adjustable Length for Outdoor Privacy Screen Shelter Wind Breaker for Garden, Hot Tub, Balcony, Terrace

Seems extremely well made. Very heavy so will need substantive support. Not fitted yet so unable to comment on durability or ease of use. Likewise how it will perform as a windbreak.. Mike Ashford. East Yorkshire. Fri Sep 18 2026

Rubbish and not worth the money. When you unroll it, it goes back wonky, which creases the material. Also, when fully extended, the material isnt tight and sags. Very disappointed as I had great hopes for this.. Lyndy. St. Helens, GB. Thu May 25 2023

This arrived before expected which was great! This one is 1.6m high and does exactly what it should. Keeps the wind out from an exposed wind area in our back garden. We face onto a field and the wind can sometimes ruin sunny days on the decking. Strong and sturdy, high quality product, I was concerned it may flap a lot on a breezier day but it doesn’t. Well worth spending the money for a more expensive one - this has changed our windy sunny days into a more tranquil sun trap! Only thing missing is a rain cover for when it’s retracted. Would highly recommend this product.. Jo. Scotland. Sun Apr 26 2020

This heavy-duty hardtop gazebo crafted from galvanised steel and aluminium is expertly designed to withstand unpredictable severe weather, including storms with winds exceeding 129 km/h.

Five stars for the assembled product and quick delivery, but arrived with 2 duplicate parts (instead of left and right fitting beams), but being impatient I drilled new holes myself so I could get on with building it instead of waiting for a replacement part. The Roof holes were also too small for screws so had to drill bigger holes in order to secure roof. Being stubborn I built it by myself and took a while, but once you get the first bits done, the rest is fairly simple. Doesn’t help that my eyes are going and the instructions are in font 6.
