Another open-box win. Fairly straightforward to assemble - many reviews comment that it needs two people but I didn’t have any trouble on my own (maybe I just have really long arms). The only tricky part for me when installing the base , I should have left the screws attaching the sides just a little looser so it was easier to slot it in. Cracking bit of kit, does exactly what it says on the tin. Really impressed with this sofa bed. Bought it as a compact option for a spare space, and it’s turned out to be a bit of a hidden gem. The click-clack mechanism is smooth and straightforward — no faffing about trying to wrestle it into position. One minute it’s a tidy sofa, next minute it’s a proper bed ready for guests. Ideal for those “oh… you’re staying over?” moments. Comfort-wise, it punches above its weight. The high-density foam gives it decent support whether you’re sat watching telly or stretched out for the night. The adjustable back is a nice touch too — handy for finding that sweet spot when you just want to kick back. Build quality feels solid — the metal frame and wooden legs give it a sturdy feel without being bulky, and it looks smart enough to sit in any room without shouting for attention. The linen-style fabric gives it a clean, modern finish. Also worth mentioning — it doesn’t take up loads of space, which was a big win for me. We hit some problems while putting it together with some ‘holes’ hidden or slightly out of alignment and some very difficult angles to deal with but we managed it in the end! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It arrived in a box with hundreds of pieces of cheap wood, which was not labelled, so I spent over an hour identifying them. The instructions were not clear at all, several screws were defective, multiple pieces of wood arrived split. I spent around 10 hours building three sections, I discovered essential parts for the final section were missing, so I couldn't even complete it!!!! Was told I was going to get sent the missing pieces, then told they were out of stock. Also, "Marlow Home Co" is not a real brand, it was actually VIDALXL. Complete scam, very disappointed.. Katie.
