The porcelain door knob is beautifully made and finished, part of the Spira Brass range. The porcelain range represents the highest quality available in both construction and finish. The subtle antique finish is offset by the ivory crackle porcelain. This is an unsprung door knob, and therefore we recommend that it is fitted with a double-sprung tubular latch. As with all doorknobs, we recommend this doorknob is used with a longer tubular latch, ideally with a minimum length of 104mm (82mm backset) to avoid scraped knuckles on the door frame.

Good quality. Well made. Bought and fitted 3. Needed to shorten the privacy spindle by 15mm. Our doors are 35mm thick. Steel screw supplied to use when preparing holes (brass screws are inherently weaker and prone to shear when tightening).
