With hygiene higher on everyone's priority list now than ever before the Contax tap is the perfect addition to the kitchen designed with hygiene in mind. This tap features a touch activated sensor controller on the left side which turns on touch activation for the control of cold water. This can be done by touching the tap with the back of the hand or wrist for example to rinse dirty hands when preparing food, baking or when you've been gardening. With hot and cold mixer on the right side and a sweeping swan spout in a chrome finish this is a beautiful tap design with much more packed in. How it works: SENSOR TAP FUNCTION Turn the touch flow control handle forwards to adjust the rate of the water. Note: In the upright position no water will flow so it's prime to do this ahead of beginning cooking etc. Touch the spout, tap body or base plinth to activate the sensor. Simply rotate the control forwards to increase the flow, or rotate backwards to reduce and or stop the flow. Once the sensor has been activated by touching the tap, the water will flow for approximately 30 seconds before stopping. To reactivate simply touch the tap again. Once flowing either touch the tap again or close the flow control handle to stop the flow. “Grab function” allows you to grasp the spout and rotate it without activating the sensor.

The tap itself is good, however one of the nuts sent was not threaded and I was therefore 10 days without a tap, as the plumber had removed my old one that was faulty. I then also incurred additional charges for fitting, as the plumber had to come out again. New part was delivered but took 10 days to come.
