Love the island. It looks great in my kitchen, provides plenty of extra storage, and can easily accommodate 2-4 stools for additional seating. Deducted one star for assembly, however. I like to think I'm above average at furniture assembly, but this thing gave me a run for my money. The directions are poorly drawn at best, and as others have mentioned, some of the pre-drilled holes were misplaced or missing altogether. That said, other than needing extra hands to place the top, I was able to put it together on my own. ***UPDATE Ive recently built it (on my own with the help of two ladders i may add) and its fantastic. See new photo** Arrived in a bashed and mashed up holey box(see my photos!), i didnt notice until I had a good look at it in the kitchen as the delivery man put it mashed up side down (and zoomed off) and I was in a rush to get on my school run. Luckily my cctv cameras videoed the state it was when as he delivered it. I have opened the box (and resealed it) and Im not sure if some bits are missing yet as this wardrobe rack is for the house Im moving to in a few weeks and will get built then. Am a bit worried some of the metal legs might be damaged as box was strangely indented all down the long sides as well as having a massive hole ripped at one end, and Im also worried if the smaller components are all there or not too.... The package arrived late and there was damage to the boards, which I didn’t fully appreciate during assembly. When I finished it, I noticed it properly and reported the issue, only to be told they are blaming me for the damage because I should have seen it earlier. As the pictures show, this is not damage from assembly, but customer support chose to claim it must have been (or could have been) from assembly so they won’t do anything. Far too expensive for what you get, but also make sure you examine everything before assembly because they don’t care. Really shocking and dismissive approach to customer service.. Anonymous. Overall, this is a lovely piece of furniture BUT the back panel does not look like the back panel in the pictures. We bought it to be placed in the centre of our kitchen. However, the back panel is really only suitable for being placed against a wall, as it is a very thin flimsy panel with a fold in it and all panel fittings visible, which is hugely disappointing and does not suit our intended purpose for the item at all..
