This is a very thick and heavy high/low motif rug. It is very striking. I bought a small version of this rug, and the photo showed the design at full size on a large rug. You still get the full size design, but on a small rug, so the elements look rather oversized. It took some adjusting to get used to it. It is shedding a lot, which fills the vacuum cleaner, but probably because of how new and thick it is. It can certainly afford to lose some fibres. It is very dense. I like the charcoal background. It's not as 'jarring' as black would be. I've included a photo of the rug from Wayfair's website beside the smaller version I bought. The Crocs are to give the photo scale.. Nancy. Colchester.
