This computer desk is engineered to accommodate most modern systems with the emphasis on rigidity essential for daily use. The open back allowing sufficient breathing space and well-thought-out cable management eliminates wire trapping. The slide-out keyboard shelf measures are 79cm wide and 43cm deep ensuring ample room for both keyboard and mouse and the smooth action metal runners feature a locking position avoiding unwanted movement. A further two fully adjustable slide-out shelves (measuring 54cm W x 43cm D) feature eight height settings to accommodate various printer and scanner combinations. The sturdy hutch features one fixed shelf for strength and two adjustable shelves with nine height settings. These two pieces can easily be connected. Made from furniture quality MFC which is resistant to hot cups and scratches. The top is 2.5cm thick with a 4cm overhang to rear for clearance of plugs etc. All other panels are 1.8cm thick, including the important back panel which ensures added strength and rigidity. The Haefner secretary desk with hutch is a practical and particularly space-saving workspace. With its shallow depth, it ensures the best use of space, e.g. in a corridor. The large worktop can be folded down gently thanks to two high-pressure dampers. Behind the door are a practical laptop compartment and a storage shelf. Side pockets, which are also suitable for a PC, and shelves behind the worktop expand the storage space of the Haefner.

Really like this desk. It does indeed take 2 people and a few hours to assemble, but it is cleverly designed to fit in a small space. If possible it'd be rated 4.5 because additional materials to bracket it to the wall are not included. A nice piece of furniture and reasonably easy to put together. I wanted to be able to shut the computer out of site when not in use and this has allowed me to do just that. I contacted Wayfair to confirm that my Mac would fit, they took the time to measure for me and I cannot fault how helpful they were, thank you. I recently bought the Union Rustic Franny 2 Drawer Filing Cabinet and I’m really pleased with how it’s improved my home office organisation. Compact but spacious: The cabinet is a great size at about 40 cm (depth) × 42 cm (width) × 70 cm (height) that big enough to store plenty of files, stationery, and even a printer on top without taking up too much floor space. - Smooth mobility: It comes with 360° swivel wheels (two lockable) which makes it easy to move around and keep firmly in place next to my desk. - Functional drawer design: Both drawers are roomy, and the adjustable hanging rails fit standard A4 or letter-size folders, making it simple to organise documents neatly. - Modern look: The clean finish and sleek lines fit well with my contemporary decor and blend in nicely with other furniture. - The cabinet was straightforward to assemble with clear instructions. Once put together, it feels sturdy and practical for daily use. - The materials (manufactured wood and metal handles) are good for the price point, but obviously not premium solid wood that’s expected given the value. - It’s lightweight, which is great for moving around, but you might want to ensure heavier items on top are secure if bumped. Overall - This filing cabinet offers excellent value for money that clean design, easy mobility, and functional storage that really helps keep my workspace tidy.
