These canisters are made from stainless steel have a sleek black enamel finish. I love the quality of these canisters. Very secure lid with beautiful colour combination. It did say wash in warm soap water, which I did once, but I'm not sure if you can regularly do this due to the copper lid, which may tarnish over time. And almost certainly not dishwasher proof.
