This is surprisingly good for the price. Sturdy desk, good design, high quality surface finish even though it's fake wood, easy assembly. I was worried about hitting my shins on the shelf below the desk surface, but the desk has enough depth for that not to be much of a problem. The only somewhat unfortunate feature that I found is that the shelf happens to be at a height where it covers up wall sockets that at the typical UK height. This is a great desk for the price…. As long as you can manage realistic expectations. It took me around two hours to build solo… it’s pretty straightforward and all of the holes are pre-drilled so it’s easy to line it all up. The wood looks pretty, as long as you don’t look too closely, because then you can see the scuffs. At the end of the day, it’s cheap veneered wood and that’s reflected in the price… but it does the job and looks to be a higher spec quality than it is. The instructions are mostly easy to follow, but there is an error around parts 4 on the drawer section and it took me a while to work out why it didn’t fit. As a consequence, the back didn’t line up properly… it’s not a dealbreaker, but it was a time suck and frustrating. All in all, I would recommend this desk. A nice touch not mentioned in the instructions is the feet can be adjusted. Arrived next day in perfect condition, no scratches or damage. DHL driver brought it up one flight of stairs.
