These arrived on time, but they were shipped without any additional exterior packaging. We were surprised they were not damaged. They were in perfect condition. They are low quality porcelain, but the glaze is even and there were no irregularities. For us, this may not meet the quality standard we prefer, but there is nothing wrong with them. Be advised that this type of porcelain is likely to shatter rather than crack if the structural integrity is impacted. However, for an adult household, they seem reasonable. I really like these bowls. As you can see I bought one with the salad tongs and one without. They are a great size and perfect for springsummer dining. I thought the outside colour of the bowls were a vibrant burnt orange. But they are light brown, which is the only disappointing thing. I had theme going with my table ware. But will make it work..
