The rotary food mill is a bit like a super-powered sieve. It uses a sturdy cranked mechanism to force ingredients through tiny holes. The result? Deliciously smooth mash, lump-free sauces, and healthy baby food that's better than any shop-bought brand. It's an extremely durable and versatile piece of kit, and a great way to turn nutritious home-cooked ingredients into a restaurant-quality dish.

This will be perfect for making tomato sauce! My mother used to have one and I always thought how good it was. Brilliant for baby foods too because all the vegetable skins and pips get left behind in the sieve so you end up with a smooth puree. Catherine. Hitchin, GB. Thu Sep 19 2024

This high-quality pestle and mortar allows you to effectively grind exquisite, exotic spices into a fine powder in a traditional process. The intelligently crafted kitchen tool consists of solid black granite, which is smoothly polished without any pores using a modern production process. The polish gives the stone a fine finish. It also guarantees that you're able to crush oily substances and then clean the tool without leaving behind a residue. The surface of the pestle and mortar features the typical mineral patterning of the deep rock, which gives the kitchen tool a slightly iridescent shimmer. The pestle and mortar is particularly resistant and ensures that the fragrant, essential oils of fine herbs, spices and seeds are released as efficiently as possible. The mortar is embedded in a metal cap made of 18/10 stainless steel. This hard material guarantees longevity and is resistant to acids, oxidation and detergents. The stainless steel base also harmonises with the mortar in colour and gives the classic kitchen tool a classy look. Non-slip rubber feet, which are discreetly anchored to the metal cap, allow you to work safely and provide ideal power transfer when grinding. The simple, appealing aesthetic of the pestle and mortar is a creation by the award-winning Solinger design firm KurzKurz, whose innovative design strategies enjoy international renown. Using the mortar, you can crush herbs and spices for traditional and exotic recipes.
