It is crafted from North American pine solids and veneers where practical, with the clever use of a mill saw giving characteristic features of cross sawn timber to create a tactile, dramatic finish. Matching pieces are available.

I received this island on Friday 10 April 2026 - both marble inserts for the top were cracked in half, I appreciate these items could have been damaged in transit but Wayfair are advising they are unable to send replacement tops only and blaming the supplier, they have offered to replace the entire unit despite the large unit being undamaged and the marble inserts arriving in a seperate damaged package. Further they have advised I would need to arrange the return of these items which are more than 100 kilos as they are unable to arrange collection. Still trying to resolve and stuck with an island with no top at present. I would highly recommend not purchasing any large good from this merchant. Extremely stressful and so far unresolved.. These fabulous live edge chopping boards are made from responsibly sourced Indian acacia wood to create charm and character in your kitchen, inspired by those that are used by famous chef James Martin. Similar in style to butcher's blocks, these live edge effect boards help you to bring a feel of the outdoors to your home, by creating a minimal and earthy look, the simplicity of these designs is what makes them so impressive and they are sure to be a talking point when you host guests. Each unique chopping board is crafted from pieces of thick, solid wood bonded together to avoid warping over time and to create a rustic look. It also has grooves on the bottom of the board to prevent it from slipping on smooth surfaces. The unusual edge brings an eye-catching design to these pieces and highlights the hand-made beauty of these boards. Each board is unique and is perfect for chopping, as a luxury cheese board, or even as a table-top decoration topped with fresh flowers and fruits.
