A bit fiddly to start with but once you have put one up the others are easy. We fixed into an old lath and plaster ceiling, so decided to put wooden noggings between the joists in the loft to get a secure fix (your own screws will be needed). The narrower extendable section (from the shelf up in the photo) will not be useable for a trouser rail or a shoe rack as it is wider at that point. We put a shelf up there and as you can see from the first photo there is a gap between the shelf and bracket but it has four screw fixings so is adequately secure for anything that you want to store at that height.. Very impressed with the sturdiness and quality of the materials. Easy to assemble, Checked in the days after I built it just to tighten the top bolts after the cats had used it but now it is very secure. Nice selection of different platforms -unfortunately had to leave the bubble pod out of mine due to ceiling height, (the cushion and toys are my additions and don’t come with it). It appears to pretty strong metal. Assembling was easy. However manual instructions not detailed and no instructions on how to attach the tv to the two panels which attach to the stand. Luckily the panels that attached my tv to the wall previously can hook into the stand but it doesn’t appear to be too safe, so I’m taking my chances, until I go to the hardware store and ask the guys there how to go about it and what screws to use because there’s a bunch of holes behind the tv and I have a bunch of leftover screws not knowing where it goes.
