This is exactly the type of bed I’ve been looking for, and it’s a shame that it has quite a few of negative reviews because the bed really is amazing. Sure it takes some time to assemble (took me 2-3 hours) but that’s simply because you need to get your measurements right with a measuring tape once you get to the part where you’re assembling the middle wood pieces as there are no guidelines but the instructions do give you the measurements although some of them are unclear i just stuck with the 8cm distance between each centre wood working my way downwards, and it worked out fine. The bed is indeed sturdy and firm, there’s no squeeking, no cracking sound whatsoever, so i can tell the wood pieces are of good quality. The paint perhaps is a bit disappointing as there are paint chips at various edges, and the paint itself is quite soft and not good, but since it’s a low profile bed there’s no worrying since it never gets seen, but don’t get me wrong it’s not bad but it’s definitely not good so it’s really in between. At a distance it’s not noticeable and looks great, bear in mind be careful when screwing because the wood can get scratched very easily. When aligning the long squared wood pieces for the skeleton of the bed they are slightly offset and not perfectly aligned. But it doesn’t seem to affect the straightness of the bed, i used a hammer to get it straight. Overall this is a highly recommended bed, and if you’re into this style of beds and taking the price into account as well this is a really good product for what you’re paying, and i absolutely love it and it fits the room makeover plan that i have in mind.. I wish I took more pictures this one stood out most, this bed doesn’t even come with everything you need which is so ridiculous, the instructions are not clear, especially with all the screws being mixed up, it’s a night mare to put together, the tiny key given with it has take layers off my thumb, and gave me blisters, it rounds off screw heads, some of the parts weren’t even the same as the part pictured which made it impossible to figure out what went where, once I managed to figure out by size what should go where, and started building, wood was still in some of the holes that were so tight, it made it the most challenging thing to put screws through, once finally all assembled, some of the screws wouldn’t go all the way in and I triple checked I was using the right screws, the wood was bent as in the part that goes on top, the side that be in the middle as part of the sliding section was loose then once the wood that went between that and the outer part on the top bed, pulled it in so much it made a bending shape, there was a missing slat, the bed gave me splinters and to top it off, which for me really put the cherry on this horrific bed was that it’s doesn’t even pull out, the bed took me a whole day to build!!.
