Terrible piece of furniture. I ordered the chest of draws and it arrived broken, all the corners of the top were cracked. Way fair collected it for free and sent out a replacement. This was worse!..cracked in lots of places and one leg completely broken. Thought bis try third time lucky and the same problem again. Waiting for a full refund. Really cheap finish and poor quality. Black Lacquer

Although Chinese cabinets would sometimes contain small drawers on the inside, the Chinese did not use chests of drawers for storing clothes as we do today. Our oriental style chest of drawers is therefore not strictly a Ming design, but we like to think that it is in keeping with the ethos of that time. The simple design, including an apron stretching across the bottom that is typically seen on Ming period furniture, gives it a contemporary look that still has more than a hint of Chinese style.
