This raised bed is well worth paying a little more for. It took about an hour and a half to assemble (32 screws) but the finished product is excellent quality. It is very sturdy, strong, fade proof, waterproof and has a modern colouring to blend into most gardens, it won't need painting or treating, and I found it a good height for me at 5 foot 5 inches. Once filled with soil it is also wind proof. You can plant about 15 lettuce comfortably, or more if you plant them closer still. The bonus for me which I was not aware of before ordering, is the water gauge. The gauge tells you when to water your plants, or if there is too much water in the bed, if it is flooded from rain there is a plug to release the excess water onto the ground below or into a watering can. Grow your garden plants in safety with these compact polytunnel-style greenhouses. The tunnel consists of an easily-assembled frame, made from powder-coated steel tubes, which are joined together by strong plastic connectors. The plastic cover is then tied to this frame and secured using the ground pegs to make sure everything stays in place. The tunnel's plastic cover consists of two layers of strong polyethene (PE), with an internal grid sandwiched in between. This gives it a perfect balance between transparency and lightweight while being strong and thick enough to keep out bad weather or pests.
