This wooden shed base provides and solid, quick, easy and effective solution to preparing a base for a Forest 6x3 ft shed. Sheds must always be built on a solid and level base and poured concrete or concrete slabs are usually recommended but these do add cost, time and complexity. This wooden base is a quick and easy alternative to slabs or poured concrete. It has the added benefit of raising the shed, further isolating it from the ground which helps to prevent water splashback in heavy rain.This robust and long-lasting base has tiny incisions that go deep into the timber that allow the pressure treatment preservative to penetrate deep into timber, protecting it from rot and making it suitable for ground contact.Building the base is a simple case of screwing the timber sections together with screws that are provided. The base should be laid on level ground or propped with suitable material on uneven ground. Try to let as much air inside the shed on cooler, dry days, by opening the shed doors. This will help the air circulation inside the shed and will drop the humidity level inside. Great little shed. As long as you follow the instructions, it's pretty straightforward to put together. Take note of the 4x corner panels and the dimensions - the 2 sides are different widths so if you don't get them the correct way round, it won't fit together properly. Was a bit sceptical reading some of the reviews and when it was delivered I thought it looked very flimsy. The instructions weren't powerful at times hard to see which direction the items were to be assembled. But along with the video we managed to construct the shed. It took us about 7 hours one day to build the shed including the roof. Then the second day approx. 2 hours for the doors and the finishing edges, screw covers etc and floor supports. All in all I'm rather impressed with the finished product although the door height is a little low, but it was going on a raised platform so didn't really cause any issues for me. This Pent shed is a very practical design and manufactured from high grade, slow grown, FSC approved, North European pine overlap cladding boards over sturdy 34mm square framing with OSB roof and floor. With interchangeable fixed, acrylic windows and large single door. Dip treated base coat preservative ready for top coating. All fixings, roof felt and assembly instructions are provided. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.

First of all, I read previous reviews before ordering and the main complaint is that the instructions are difficult to understand or inaccurate. After receiving the shed, I found the instructions very intuitive. They are on A5 so quite small but as long as you test fit the pieces before fixing parts together, you will see pretty quickly if the orientation is incorrect. If you are unsure, read ahead a couple of pages and everything should make sense. Assembled on my own in a few hours, and really happy with the quality of the shed. I’m going to make some modifications to make it more secure, but I couldn’t buy the materials to make a custom shed for this price so I’m delighted!. Anonymous. Wed Jan 10 2024
