I ended up purchasing the 11x7 Poppy greenhouse over the Memorial Day weekend, after reading a multitude of reviews. Based on those reviews I decided to give Backyard Discovery a chance. From delivery to final build I could not have been happier with the experience. As a DIYer, this was in my wheelhouse. What was most impressive was the build instructions, which were complimented by the online 3D app. The inventory list for each box was invaluable in saving time from having to look for the multitude of parts and hardware. To make the build easier, I set up a 6ft table in my garage and placed all of the hardware in plastic containers which were arranged numerically. This preparation will save an enormous amount of time searching for specific hardware. The quality of the cedar was very good, solid, and consistent. Throughout the build, the instructions actually had notes, in red, that were important “lookouts” so as not to make an error with regards to specific part orientation or sequence. As I worked my way through the build, the more impressed I became with the instructions and how I could tell that the folks responsible for the instructions were truly hands-on common sense engineers. My hat off to the company for their efforts in making these projects enjoyable along with providing a wonderful finished product…that appears to last. As with any quality build, if you do not ensure that the pad is level and the sidewalls are not square and level, you will not have an enjoyable experience. I would give this greenhouse 5 stars if I could, but it was quite difficult to assemble and needed both myself and my husband. It took us a weekend to complete it. You also need to build a base if not included. The result is a lovely little greenhouse and it has stood up to the winds and gales we have had recently. We did reinforce the panels with glass tape and so far we have had no leaks, also the window has a very strange closing. I bought this greenhouse last year and love it. It is my happy place. Went together quickly. We took 3 weeks to make sure it was sealed correctly (linseed mix), and it looks incredible. Love the features: the exhaust fan, folding table tops, water spigot, and the electrical plug-ins are awesome. We did the pounded gravel base and built it up from there. I use it every day and look forward to my time in the greenhouse. The company was easy to work with, shipping was quick, and the instructions were excellent. The Holme is a very practical lean to greenhouse which will provide all the advantages of a timber greenhouse in a compact size to suit many locations. The low wooden T&G panels add a very traditional detail to this functional design. The Holme will make a feature of a plain wall as well as being a great asset if you "Grow Your Own". The greenhouse is glazed with toughened glass and has a double door for easy access, fitted with a traditional gate latch handle. The roof can be opened on a hot day to provide excellent ventilation. As usual with a greenhouse, no floor is supplied and the greenhouse sits on a pressure treated base rail. Manufactured in the UK from high grade Northern European, FSC certified timber and finished with a honey brown basecoat preservative treatment ready for your own top coat of wood paint or stain following assembly. All fixings and assembly instructions are provided. Imperial measurements are rounded so please refer to the metric sizes for accuracy. For a lower priced product, this greenhouse is value for money. It was delivered in one box and, apart from one missing screw, came with everything needed for assembly with all clearly marked for easy identification. On the whole the instructions were clear with pictures to help with worded explanation. One part was a little confusing as stated needed 9 bolts but wasn't clear where. We found out where later in the process. Although slightly fidly to rectify, it wasn't too bad. The final product looks great and does what it is intended for. My only comment would be that Wayfair need to correct the greenhouse pictures as an image of the green greenhouse is on the grey details and vice versa. If you need a greenhouse and can't afford the more expensive ones available, give this one a go, for a weekend of effort and at a reasonable cost you will have a lovely little greenhouse. Paul.
