As cast iron can reach high heat on a low to medium setting, you can seal your food quickly and lock in the moisture, nutrients, and flavors, producing succulent tasty meals. It is a very healthy way of cooking too as the cooking fat drains away and collects below the ribs. The helper handle sets this Square Grillit® apart from others, for extra ease of use and stability when lifting a full pan. The grill is coated with Le Creuset’s specialist finish. Durable and easy to clean, enamel interior has been specially designed to protect the pan (no seasoning is required) and is ideal for searing and grilling foods such as meat, fish, and vegetables. Over time, it develops a natural patina that is ideal for searing and frying. The Square Grillit® is suitable for use on all hob types, including induction, in the oven, under the grill, and on the barbecue, and is protected by a Lifetime Guarantee for total peace of mind. Only low to medium heat is required when cooking and will achieve the high surface heat required for searing.

This is perhaps my most favorite thing to use in the kitchen at the moment! I got this (and 2 other Le Creuset items - thanks to the extra discount at Wayfair!) 4 days ago, and since then have made the perfect steak (2 inch filet mignon), grilled fish and grilled vegetables while staying indoors, without being afraid to go outside the house to grill and without the fuss of charcoal grilling!!. Make perfection your goal. Innovation begins at home. Creating culinary magic starts with following an instinct for flavour and letting that guide you through every experiment. Perfect your signature dishes, expand your repertoire, and never stop striving for originality.

This Griddle is superb. I make lots of griddle scones, & have previously struggled to find a griddle which heats evenly on my ceramic hob. Within an hour of it's arrival I'd made some Welsh Cakes, & they cooked perfectly. You need to do a few test bakes first, to ensure the temperature is correct - I found it kept it's heat even at a very low temperature, which is good. I only lightly greased it with sunflower oil for the first batch of baking, after that it didn't need greasing. The handles stay cool whilst using the hob, & its very easy to clean. Plus, it looks good. And worth every £.. Karen. Nottingham, GB. Wed Feb 28 2018
