I wanted this trash bin because of the handle bar open. Motion sensor was out of the question for me because of my narrow kitchen and I shied away from step cans because of accidental opens. It looks good but the steel is thin, thinner than cheaper trash cans I've seen for 1/3 the price. The first one I received had a big dent on the edge. The box and shipping box were not damaged. The second one I received was perfect. The handle bar and manual closing becomes tedious and I wish I opted for a step can. Very pleased with the bin. You have four blue lights that light up and then they go off one by one to let you know when the bin will close. You can also wave your hand in front to make them go back up so the lid stays open longer or press the buttons on the side to open or close. I bought this sensor bin to replace a similar model from another brand. The lid on my previous bin broke, and I couldn’t get a replacement.
