I initially thought my daughter would be the only one interested in it, but as soon as we set it up, my 8 and 9 year old sons started playing too. The size is geared toward toddlers, as it’s not very tall, but my kids don’t seem to mind at all. They did mention that they wished it came with more food items, but they wound up incorporating other food playsets they have with it. The set is of great quality and very sturdy. I love that the colors are lighter than typical bright toys, so it looks nice in any room. The door is fitted with a full length piano hinge to prevent finger traps and the windows are glazed with acrylic. It is manufactured in T&G (shiplap) timber from high grade, slow grown, FSC approved, northern European pine. The floor of the playhouse is tongue and groove timber as is the roof which is covered with roofing felt for protection from the weather. The playhouse is supplied with a dip treated base coat preservative ready for you to top coat immediately after installation. The painted models shown are customer images to provide some ideas. This playhouse requires self-assembly using the instructions supplied; fixings and roof felt are provided. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.
