It’s big which is great because it holds lots of toys, but I initially thought there was a soft close mechanism based on the pictures. But infact there isn’t. The wood is very heavy and when it closes it slams shut which is really dangerous for my little ones. Toy Chest looks great, we have other items from Tutti Bambini - but the quality is not great. Pre-drilled holes in wrong place. Hydraulic arm has too much pressure and cannot be used. The general build of the product is weak and poor quality overall. Colour is lovely and matches our other pieces but not what we expected. Lovely little addition to my daughters room. Perfect for all her little knick knacks. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the board you slide into the bottom would not fit correctly and it became a 2 person job to get it slotted in.
