I ended up purchasing the 11x7 Poppy greenhouse over the Memorial Day weekend, after reading a multitude of reviews. Based on those reviews I decided to give Backyard Discovery a chance. From delivery to final build I could not have been happier with the experience. As a DIYer, this was in my wheelhouse. What was most impressive was the build instructions, which were complimented by the online 3D app. The inventory list for each box was invaluable in saving time from having to look for the multitude of parts and hardware. To make the build easier, I set up a 6ft table in my garage and placed all of the hardware in plastic containers which were arranged numerically. This preparation will save an enormous amount of time searching for specific hardware. The quality of the cedar was very good, solid, and consistent. Throughout the build, the instructions actually had notes, in red, that were important “lookouts” so as not to make an error with regards to specific part orientation or sequence. As I worked my way through the build, the more impressed I became with the instructions and how I could tell that the folks responsible for the instructions were truly hands-on common sense engineers. My hat off to the company for their efforts in making these projects enjoyable along with providing a wonderful finished product…that appears to last. As with any quality build, if you do not ensure that the pad is level and the sidewalls are not square and level, you will not have an enjoyable experience. The Holme is a very practical lean to greenhouse which will provide all the advantages of a timber greenhouse in a compact size to suit many locations. The low wooden T&G panels add a very traditional detail to this functional design. The Holme will make a feature of a plain wall as well as being a great asset if you "Grow Your Own". The greenhouse is glazed with toughened glass and has a double door for easy access, fitted with a traditional gate latch handle. The roof can be opened on a hot day to provide excellent ventilation. As usual with a greenhouse, no floor is supplied and the greenhouse sits on a pressure treated base rail. Manufactured in the UK from high grade Northern European, FSC certified timber and finished with a honey brown basecoat preservative treatment ready for your own top coat of wood paint or stain following assembly. All fixings and assembly instructions are provided. Imperial measurements are rounded so please refer to the metric sizes for accuracy. Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment. We ordered the 5x3 mtr lean to gazebo, so not a small structure! The delivery was excellent, they kept us informed of delivery time, so we were prepared, they had waterproof cover for everything, so it was not left out in the elements. Thoughtfulness throughout. Everything was good quality, clear instructions. My husband is 76, and not a builder, rather he was an engineer, so this was a big job to tackle on his own. The only time he asked for help was to lift the front, so he could attach the beams to the wall mounting, it took four men to lift and hold the front upright, whilst he fixed the beams. Apart from that he did everything himself, making sure at all times everything was square and level. He did a fantastic job! I am beyond pleased with the result. It took him 9 days to build, and put the roofing tiles on, and then we had to wait as he ordered the lead etc which was the very last task. A point to note , everything you need to build the gazebo is there, apart from the lead, filler, wall bolts and patio fixing bolts. The hard wear that is with the gazebo kit, is counted so exactly the right amount is there, no extras, so be careful, dont loose, or misplace anything! We have ended up with an amazing gazebo, so much usable space now to eat outside, sit and relax, we absolutely love it, and have had so many compliments from friends and neighbours! This 3 tier hobby greenhouse is a good helper in your garden. It can be used in the garden after a simple assembly. Put your flowers and plants in the greenhouse, you can let the plants fully enjoy the outdoor sunshine, and grow heartily. You don't need to worry about too much wind and rain, turning over the flowerpot and other problems, all you need to do is to water regularly. With the greenhouse, even if you don't have the skill to plant flowers, your flowers can grow well.

This is a great looking gazebo and I was surprised that no pieces or hardware was missing. Assembly was straightforward for the most part but you will likely need 3 people or two very strong people. I managed to do all, except the roof by myself but the roof was tricky! That’s where you will need 3 people - one to attach it, two to lift each piece. Most of the pieces were straight and lined up. A couple were bent but they still worked and it looks great after I finished. I got the gutter kits as well.
