These mattresses (I got 2) are perfect for my new day bed. The one on the trundle is a little bit too big now that it’s been out of the packaging for a couple of days but still works, I just have to squeeze it down a bit to pull it out but I’d rather my guests have a comfier sleep than go for a thinner mattress.. Seven layers, one feeling: weightless. The Emma Original Elite sits at the top of the Original range, built around AirGrid® — a hyper-elastic polymer layer in a honeycomb structure that does two things nothing else in the range does. It lets air pass through thousands of open channels freely, no graphite, no gel, just passive cooling that works all night. And it bounces back the moment you move, so you're never stuck or working harder to shift position. Below it, Airgocell® foam keeps humidity moving, MemoryAdapt foam contours to your shoulders, hips and lower back, and SupportBase holds the whole structure steady. The core is a 7-zone pocket spring system covering your head, neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees and feet individually. At 27 cm tall with a medium soft feel (2/5), this is the most cushioned mattress in the range and the one most side sleepers reach for. The cover is a step up too: 64% polyester, 36% Tencel, thicker than the standard Emma cover and noticeably softer to the touch. Fully removable and machine washable at 40°C. NBF approved. UKFR certified. Try it for 100 nights. Not right for you? Returns are handled through Wayfair. The 10-year guarantee covers all foam and spring layers. T3 Platinum Award. Good Housekeeping Institute Approved 2026.

Outstanding Supporting and quality. Christopher. Wed Sep 16 2026

Enjoy a comfortable balance of softness and support with this luxury memory foam sprung mattress. Designed with eight comfort layers, it combines a super-soft, deep-quilted top panel with responsive open-cell memory foam and a traditional European open coil spring system for a medium-soft sleeping feel. The 1-inch layer of next-generation open-cell memory foam gently adapts to the contours of the body, providing additional cushioning and helping to relieve pressure around key areas such as the back, hips, neck and legs. Beneath this, the open coil spring unit helps distribute body weight evenly across the mattress for consistent support throughout the night. A breathable quilted grey border encourages airflow through the mattress, helping to keep the sleeping surface feeling cool, fresh and comfortable. With an overall depth of approximately 23cm, the mattress offers a substantial and supportive feel while maintaining a soft, cushioned finish. This is a single-sided mattress, so there is no need to turn it over. Simply rotate it from head to foot regularly to help encourage even wear and maintain long-lasting comfort. For convenient delivery and easier handling, the mattress is vacuum-packed, rolled and boxed. Once unpacked, allow approximately 24–48 hours for the mattress to fully expand and return to its intended size and shape before use.
