Murphy Door Bookcase

Overall happy with the purchase, looks great and is extremely practical for having a n extra bed in a small space. One thing I would be wary of is that it’s quite tricky to assemble and you need to make sure you are able to attach well to a wall (at the very least to the studs). The instructions for assembly aren’t very clear when it comes to installing the mechanisms and springs. Also the delivery wasn’t great - the company delivered later than the expected date and refused to bring the boxes up one flight of stairs in the apartment building. I appreciate the current COVID restrictions, however leaving it in the hallway on the first floor is not much different to leaving it in the hallway on the ground floor w.r.t entering the building. Items were very heavy and needed more than one person to move.. Anonymous. Thu Jul 30 2020

Due to limited space, I needed to get rid of my current reading table and get a table that would be more space-saving. Most of the space-saving options that I saw during my searches, did not seem very durable. The few that seemed to fit the bill either had extremely long delivery times or were very expensive. I finally found this table after a very long search process, and it was stated that it would be delivered on the 29th of February. It was however delivered a day later than stated. The packaging also did not seem so secure, but the table was not damaged on delivery. On opening the parcel, the shelf/table parts seemed to be made of good quality wood and metal. However, because the shelf/table seemed very heavy, I was not really confident about hanging it on the wall using the fixings and screws supplied. I used more heavy-duty fixings to hang it up. Installation was a straightforward process. A step-by-step process for the installation was provided in the sheet in the package. There was also a code that you could scan with your phone, and it takes you directly to a video showing the process. Templates were even provided, to help you know where to mark and drill the wall. Overall, I am satisfied with the table as it seems like it would last for a long time. If you are thinking about purchasing it, don’t think, just buy it, as I am sure that you won’t regret the purchase.. Chidinma. Hatfield. Sun Mar 03 2024

I purchased this thinking the entire frame was enclosed in the package. Then again, I thought that’s too good to be true. I received the hardware for a Murphy Bed. I’ve wanted one for quite sometime. Very disappointed Shoddy workmanship with poorly aligned pilot screw hols, some holes inadequately pre-drilled out, poorly aligned panels. The professional who I paid to assemble it was not impressed! And he was very surprised by how much I paid for the unit. Also, I was under the impression that the mattress that I was upselled would fold up into the unit. It doesn’t!. Richard Mendelson. Dorking. This large cabinet provides extensive storage space for clothing and other items. Its classic design makes it suitable for bedrooms or dressing rooms, while the robust construction ensures durability and long-lasting use.

I agree that assembling the wardrobe requires two people, but saying it takes just two hours is simply not true. First, there are zero labels on the parts or packaging—it’s like a guessing game If someone isn’t experienced with DIY, they’ll never manage to put it together. Second, the decorative trims for the doors should be packaged in separate bags for each piece, as ours arrived all scratched up… P.S. Aside from the issues mentioned above, the wardrobe itself is beautiful, high quality, and spacious.. Tamara. Bridgwater, GB. Wed Aug 05 2026
