The bed is nice and sturdy. To turn on the lights simply lift the lamp. The only downside is that when you close the bedside table it doesn’t go down all the way because it’s too close to the bed. The bed is lovely once assembled and looks very well in the room. However, when I was putting it together, discovered that there was a significant piece missing (a corner bracket which holds the the bed together.) I contacted Customer service who said they would put me in touch with the manufacturer which could take up to 48 hours. I went to my local Woodies and managed to find a piece that would work as a substitute. By the time I received an email from the manufacturer, I had completed assembling the bed the previous day. Very nice and solid bed. My 4'6 double bed looks quite big as its sides adds extra 7-10 cm on each side. Color is ligh grey. Took me (I am lady in my early 30's) long time to put together (2 evenings). Note"""" for the drawers look for the letters on black metal details: CL( whete L for left) CR( r for right) and DL (drawer left) DR(drawer right) and you'll figure out how to put them. Very happy with this bed. The most difficult part about it putting together were metal legs! I brought this as i need storage looks nice on picture but there are slats missing and bed is nothing like picture. sides dont line up and the lining on inside is to short an missing slats we had to ulter them an its only coz i.m very shor that it might b ok.pore and very disappointed especially with it being from wayfair.
