Brighton 44 is a spacious and bright summer house, which is well suited for a home office, a place to spend leisure time with friends and family, or just as a summer house. The L-shaped space solution and the small terrace with a canopy and a tasteful lattice wall are both personal and practical. Double-glazed and sealed windows and doors with large glass surfaces are a great choice for our climate, allowing you to prolong the summer in the cold and also giving you a chance to stay in the garden in rainy weather. The house set includes all the necessary parts for installation: impregnated base frame, wall details, floorboards and skirting boards, roof beams/boards, and moldings but also hardware (handles/nails/screws). The house set does not include any roofing materials but shingles and roofing felt can be purchased extra. If you prefer a model with a similar layout but with a modern flat roof, we recommend a slightly larger Orkney as an alternative to the Brighton 44.

Lovely once erected but it didn’t go up easily because one side panel was warped . The construction is up and I am pleased with the overall effect, although the doors as yet don’t open and run smoothly due to temperature changes and there’s quite large gaps between. As an assembly it is very good. The watch outs are the base and roof. The base, the joists are off centre meaning if you put noggings in they’re all different sizes. The roof is decent enough but again odd amounts of overhang from the misaligned joists, the structure is solid enough, however I have reinforced the floor and roof with 18mmOSB which has firmed it up significantly. Absolutely dreadful product as it comes self-assembly gets dropped on the road without notification or assistance and signed the delivery themselves. Complained to MGP however they refused to assist in any way, this product comes with far too many screws, packages, different size batons, posts, pole screws etc it is impossible to know how to assemble this looking at the instructions that they provide and don’t be fooled when you look at the install instructions on the Wayfair website that tell you MGP will email and you will get this installed without any fuss as they refuse to have anything to do with it have now complained for two months to Wayfair who initially agreed a refund and collection of the item hundreds of conversations and emails and chat later I am still waiting and very, very frustrated.
