A hard to match color and these shams worked out perfectly. My spare bedroom decor is in silverteal and often has been difficult to match. These shams worked well with my existing bedding and added an additional level of comfort to my guests. The only cons for the pillows is that any moisture at all will stain they are not washable. I bought two of these pillowcases but am very disappointed with them and wish I hadn't bought them! They aren't 'sateen' and are more like 200 threadcount than 1000. I was looking for a replacement for the silk pillowcases I had previously, which were falling apart, and thought these would fit the bill. Unfortunately I took the advice on the packaging and washed them before using them - thinking that the starchy feel would soften with washing - but it hasn't and I won't be using them.
