The vertical cooking position allows the fat from the food to run off, draining into the drip tray. Which leaves you with a healthier meal. It is capable of cooking a chicken or large meat items using the central large skewer or up to seven individual kebabs which you can have meat, vegetables and more. The 360-degree cooking means an even cooking throughout and a quicker finished result too. The sliding glass observation doors mean you can watch the progress of your food without having to open the door, which stops the cooking process. I was going to give it 3 stars but I have used it a bit more and find the unit works very well for items like 'sauteing' cherry tomatoes in a drop or two of olive oil as well as a quick toasting of the wide sourdough bread slices. I put 1 or 2 dishes on top of it so plates get warm. Controls are clear. The door on the old toaster oven [ I still have ] is connected to the grill pan so it came out when the door was lowered, making removing hot food a lot easier.
